MINI owners across the country are getting ready for the return of one of the brand’s most exciting community events: MINI Takes The States 2026. Also known as MTTS, the biennial rally brings together MINI drivers for social events, scenic drives, and celebrations built around the fun and personality of the MINI brand.

For 2026, MINI Takes The States is being organized as three separate long-weekend rallies across California, New York, and Florida. That makes the California route especially exciting for Southern California MINI owners who want to participate in the event closer to home. Learn more from MINI of Monrovia below.

The California rally is scheduled to travel through Monterey, Sonoma, and Lake Tahoe while highlighting some of the state’s most iconic driving roads and destinations. Participants can look forward to scenic stretches of the Pacific Coast Highway, group drives with fellow MINI enthusiasts, and memorable stops along the way. MINI USA has also highlighted experiences like driving across the Golden Gate Bridge as part of the adventure.

What is MINI Takes the States?

Unlike a traditional car show, MINI Takes The States focuses on the driving experience itself. Owners travel together in groups of MINI vehicles while participating in planned activities throughout the weekend. The event includes “Rise & Rally” morning gatherings, evening mixers, and opportunities to meet MINI owners from across the country.

Southern California drivers have a unique opportunity to join one of the most recognizable MINI events without needing to travel across the country. Whether you drive a classic MINI Hardtop, a sporty Cooper S, a spacious Countryman, or one of the newest electric MINI models, the rally welcomes drivers who simply want to enjoy the community and the road trip experience.
